Recordings
Nearly all the studio recordings I have made have been for broadcast, so, even if I had copies, I would not have the right to use them. The others are mainly recordings from live concerts and are of varying quality. In either case there have been no edits — so you get the naked truth!
There will be more to follow when I have finished sorting through piles of ancient tapes.
- Lyell Cresswell: The opening piano solo from Our Day Begins at Midnight (1985) This is from a 50 minute work (since withdrawn) for piano, saxophone, narrator and tape. The recording is cut just after the saxophone and tape enter.
- Geoffrey King: Sonata for Piano in Romantic Style Op 22 (1982)
- Geoffrey King: Four Piano Pieces Op 12 (1978)
Corona Stellarum
Canticum
Angeli
Luna
- Geoffrey King: The opening solo from his Piano Concerto, composed in 1991 Four minutes of extraordinary piano writing, in which one note is ‘prepared.’ The recording is cut, for copyright reasons, just after the wind enter.
- Charles Ives: Three Page Sonata, 1st and 2nd movements This was ‘captured‘ at a public concert by a walkman on someone's knee, so the recording quality is not great
- Charles Ives: Three Page Sonata, 3rd movement
- Schubert: Impromptu in E Flat Major, Op 90 No 2
